After we get married, I will be living in Illinois with him. I will look for another job as a barista (mmmm, coffee!), and finish up my associate's degree in the fall. I will also be getting involved in Harold's church and another pregnancy center. I have grown to live Michigan and the friends I have made here (some of my dear, lifelong friends are Michiganders), and will miss them all. However, I am excited to start a life with my husband. Harold and I both have a passion for helping people however we can, and I am excited to see the opportunities God provides for us.
I suppose I should add a few more details about Harold. He is currently an EMT with a private ambulance company in Chicago. He absolutely loves his job! I was able to ride along with him a couple months ago, and I see why he love it so much. I had such a great time seeing my man doing what he loves. He is great with his patients and really puts 200% into his work. In high school he worked with the Naperville FD and fell in love with firefighting. He is working towards becoming a firefighter and also becoming a paramedic. Along with his love for helping people, Harold has a love for God, and a faith that has withstood the many challenges life has thrown at him.
I am excited to come alongside Harold and journey through life together. He makes me smile, laugh, and simply enjoy life. Every hour away from him feels like a year. He always has a great story to tell that will either make me laugh, groan, or be thankful he loves his job and I don't have to do it! We know life won't always be easy, but we're prepared to face hard times together. I am glad I found the one I will spend the rest of my life with, and can begin that lifelong process of getting to know him even more.
I could probably write ten more pages about Harold, but will leave you with this. Oh, and did I mention that I love him? :-)
